Sarah & Dwight have a seemingly extraordinary love story. Some would even say, this story was written before it even happened and then God shared It with each of them before they met. Some would even say they met each other in another life and picked up where they left off. However, anyone who knows them would say this was truly a divine appointment. Sarah and Dwight locked eyes for the first time on Sunday, September 1st, 2019 at a rather unique church event. Dwight would tell the story sharing that she was in his usual seat on that Sunday morning. Sarah would emphatically express that she had been sitting there for the past month and hadn’t seen him since she had been attending their church.
They sat beside each other for the very first time as if they had known each other for years. They worshipped together, and at the end of the service, were introduced to one another. Once they met, they repeatedly would see each other at church, mutual friend get-togethers, and even choir rehearsal.
It was one night following choir rehearsal that Dwight realized he scoped her out long enough. He mustered up the courage to engage in what was meant to be just be a simple “hello, good to see you again”. But God had other plans that night. They talked, while standing outside the church masonry walls, for three hours, laughing and sharing life. From that moment, their relationship blossomed and led them into what is now in preparation to be a lifetime friendship, partnership, and romance. Dwight knew what he wanted, and wasted no time to clearly state his intentions, cast his vision for their relationship while guarding her heart in the process. Sarah continues to be the strength, wisdom, and peace Dwight didn’t think he needed, and everyday he finds boundless reasons to love her deeper.
Their love story was no accident; it was divinely orchestrated.
Shantel & Otis Engagement at Cheekwood
We had the pleasure of photographing the recently engaged couple, Shantel and Otis, for their upcoming nuptials. The engagement session was captured at the beautiful Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. Here’s a glimpse into their beautiful love story.
Shantel: I remember the first time we met. We were in college, and Otis was working at Forever 21, and I was working at A’gaci across the hallway. I was in his store, browsing for a cami, and he tapped me on the shoulder and introduced himself with those pretty teeth I said “Hi, nice to meet you. I’m Shantel” and then he just walked away lol. Mission accomplished, my interest was sparked.
Shantel: I developed a littleeee crush and found myself going into the store on break just to see if he was working. I’d ask him to get stuff down knowing damn well I wasn’t going to get anything, or I would buy little things just to talk to him at the register.
Shantel: After I left A’gaci, I didn’t see much of him. Somehow our worlds reconnected a year later. It started off with him just waving at me and flashing a smile when he passed me on campus, which turned into Student Union and KUC lunch dates, and long walks to class where we talked about everything.
Shantel: It wasn’t long until he put me under his spell, and I was hooked. Call it magic. June 12th, 2021 can’t get here soon enough, but I’m enjoying every moment of our ride there. #GetLowWithTheLittlejohns

Kyra + Darrin's Engagement Session in Nashville, TN
I had the pleasure of partnering with the recently engagement couple, Kyra and Darrin, in order to capture some beautiful moments for their upcoming nuptials. We made a decision to capture these moments at the War Memorial in downtown Nashville, TN.
Their love story:
Kyra: Who would have thought that Best Buy, an electronic store, would be the place to start an unbreakable bond?Darrin and Kyra met back in 2016 in Murfreesboro, TN at Best Buy. Darrin was a full-time employee and had been working there for over two years, while Kyra was there as a seasonal employee. Darrin helped show Kyra the ropes at Best Buy and while there, a budding friendship began to form.
During Christmas, Kyra was going through a tough time as it was her first time being away from her family for Christmas. Darrin invited Kyra out to dinner as friends and they began getting to know each other better. As time went on, feelings began to develop. Darrin and Kyra become great friends over the past few months but secretly had feelings for each other.
Neither one wanted to admit it in fear that the other person would not feel the same way. Darrin had let his coworkers know that Kyra was going to be his, but he had no idea on how to approach her. Kyra had spoken to her mother, aunts and Grandmother who all pushed her in the right direction.
One day Kyra decided to be brave and invite Darrin out on a friend date…or so he thought. They went to eat at The Pharmacy Burger and before going to get ice cream, Kyra leaned over and kissed him. They were both pleasantly surprised to find that their feelings for each other were reciprocated. Darrin asked Kyra to be his girlfriend on July 2,2016 and the rest is history!
